Great Campaign Ads

Carter v. Reagan, 1980

Hilarious in hindsight. Why don't we see attack ads like this on McCain?

Reagan v. Mondale, 1984

Favourite ad. I like Reagan's optimism and positivity.

Bush I vs. Dukakis, 1988

Call 222-TIPS. Race-baiting won this election for Senior.

Bush I v. Clinton, 1992

Sound familiar? I think the best political campaign ever was Bubba's run in 1992. Lots of parallels to Obama '08.

Clinton v. Dole, 1996

Good ad with a focus on accomplishments... has a very pre-internet 90s aesthetic.

Gore v. Bush II, 2000

LOL! Ironic.

Bush II v. Kerry, 2004

The ad(s) that killed Kerry. What happened to Bush 2000?

McCain v. Obama, 2008

Killer.

Great post. I loved the parallels between Clinton's message from 1992 and Obama's ones now... and the Bush 2000 video his hilarious.
