BEWARE OF YOUR CLOSET....

For years he’s been hiding away in the closet doing creepy things to kids, yet little truth is known about him. No, I am not writing about Michael Jackson….. I am writing about THE BOOGEYMAN! It's because of him that you were afraid to look beneath your bed when you were a kid, and why you STILL might occasionally sleep hidden under your blanket. He’s been spotted in closets and storage rooms, and as you sit comfortably at your desk reading this post he could very well be approaching you slowly from behind! (And he can be inside MC as well!)

Anyways, on with the review... To be honest I had never heard of this movie before last night, and we only chose it because Hitch was sold out. And oh yeah, it has a kickass title! Judging by the advertisement outside the theatre, I had in mind a cheesy low-budget horror flick but thought I’d give it a chance anyways because I had no clue about any other movies that were playing.

Turns out it wasn’t as cheesy as originally thought but it definitely wasn’t the greatest movie I have seen. It confused me quite a bit in the beginning, and in the end I left thinking, "What the fuck?", because logically it made absolutely no sense whatsoever! Even though this movie is supposedly about “the boogeyman”, there is never any explanation about who or what he is, how he became, why he is so angry, and what he does with the people he takes. The only cool thing is you get to see what "the boogeyman" looks like, and I admit he is almost as scary as Michael Jackson! Thumbs up to the graphic animation artists, but what the hell were the writers smoking?

However, if you happen to be looking for an excuse to cuddle with your girlfriend, I suggest taking her to this movie. What it does well is make everybody jump and shiver, and unlike other horror flicks it doesn’t waste a lot of time to scare you. In fact, it starts off in Tim’s “possessed” bedroom with the wind whistling through his window and shit getting broken… and suddenly... there he is. You should have seen Smiley... he was scared shitless throughout the entire movie! (don't let him bullshit you, it's true!) Uunfortunately, the story doesn’t build much from there and Smiley is NOT a sexy chick.

This movie was more of a commedy then a horror. I laughed my head off at this movie. You should have seen all these couples holding one another, quivering, while I was dying from laughter.

There was this one scene with this girl; as she gets on her bike she wraps her scarf with style, as if proving that her crappy bike is a plane.

The one thing cool about this movie was the Boogeyman. I mean after years of claiming his existence, I finally was able to see him. He looks like Sen! So the next time you are in the math building (or on campus) around midnight, becareful of that little brown guy by the computer, because he may happen to be the BOOGEYMAN!!!!

I give this movie a 2 out of 10 overall

I give it 9 out of 10 for its scenes of commedy.

I am just curios to know what happened to the boddies after the Boogeyman killed them... Sen do you know?

Boogeyman deserves 4 sub-pars out of 5. It was quite sub-par.

Y'all should have done the smart thing like I did: buy tickets to Meet the Fockers and snuck in to see Hitch. But nooo... you had to be hasty and buy tickets for a movie on the other side of the theatre! Should've WAITED guys!
