Good Times

Admittedly the house was dank and dingy at first. There were holes in the grafitti-stained wall - the last guys did a commendable job trashing it. But our very chill landlord stuck to his world and came by to fix it. And some us grew to like it here - it became home. And we've had some good times here over the months - heated scuffles over the stereo, semi-operational BBQs, sweaty afternoons spent watching Frasier, late night drunken bouts, and of course the omnipresent din of drums and guitars. And from living together for this period we became like brothers in a way, getting to know each other's idiosyncracies and learning each other's quibbles and foibles.

Well, our lease is up.

We will part our separate ways and new misadventures for the next four months - James to Korea, then Cornwall, Smiley back again to Ottawa, and I to the land of stars and stripes. Tristan and Brock Campbell will return for yet another round of academic hell, and Eddie will be in his beloved Toronto, as always. Also a word out to Colin "Thug Red", who replaced Smiley in the winter, and Mystery Man Mukhul, the man who subletted my room, and whom I still haven't met. Bowman was here for the first 8 months and James Nattress, good riddance, he doesn't post, but he lives with us, he'll be back too, studying his way to med school. And honourable mention goes to that guy who was supposed be subletting Salas' room, but was never seen again - I think he lived with us for a week.

But rest assured, we will continue to regale you of our misadventures and diatribes under this banner.

No matter what the next tenants say.
