Bitches Before Hoes

WTF? Was Mr.Coolness’s remark when “Bitches before hoes” slipped out of my lips after a mouthful of $10 sake. Where this story begins… It was Jane’s birthday, and of course we needed to celebrate it, for what are friends for after all. We rendezvoused at none other than the infamous Bier Market for some world class beer. This is not a place for socializing, as it was loud, packed, and yes very loud, (more than myself).

After leaving, the eight of us who had shown up (see picture) debated on where to go next. And so the bar hopping began, as we embarked on a long quest to find an outdoor patio, that would serve us both a light meal, and of course plenty of alcohol. After much searching we stumbled into this Japanese place called (Sen, you insert the name I forgot to pick up a business card).

Aside from the name, this place had the greatest service. Our server Jared (not to be mistaken for the gay Subway® guy) did an exceptional job at serving our needs. First he organized his patio tables to accommodate us, and from there, he was quick with a joke and he lit up our smokes… no seriously he did. The one thing odd about this restaurant was that for a Japanese place, it had all the Japanese food and drink you could think of, except…. Sushi/Sashimi! Regardless, the food was delicious, my alien balls (some sort of deep fried chicken things) were quite exceptional. Japanese beer on the other is as Smiley would say “subpar”. Regardless, the drinks made us happy, and that’s all that matters.

As for Jane, we failed at our mission in getting her wasted, but we did get her pretty liquored up. We attempted to get her to chug a half-litre can of Japanese beer, but to no avail. Damn we were so close though! And to think the night was over… NOT. So another friend of mine tells me about this party of hers, the thing is she didn’t tell me it was her birthday!

Here’s where the tale gets interesting, so on route to this party (located in Scarborough) the entourage consisting of Sendawg, Pyo, and myself run into this girl, wearing a pink cowboy hat. After an engaging discussion, I managed to convince her, to loan me her hat for a picture, and yes that’s how I ended up with a pink cowboy hat on my head. Cowboy girl had a name, Victoria to be exact. Turns out she likes to draw, and is quite good at it too. Her kindness was extraordinary and she drew a picture of Pyo in less than 5 mins. You be the judge, on this (I’ll have it scanned by Tuesday)

Prior to meeting her, the three of us were causing quite the scene on the TTC. Pyo and I had tried, to use my metro pass, to allow us two entries with one swipe. It worked, until some TTC official made us pay the fair anyways. That’s when Pyo found a magazine and tore it all up, placed some box he had found on Sen’s head and took a picture. That was probably the shortest subway to the land of Scarborough ever.

Yes we did get to the Scarborough party, which by this point seemed to be just a late-night/early morning social gathering, loaded with drunken people, but with 3 additional cool persons. I hope everyone made it home ok, as we all had to walk home to our homes in three in the morning.
And that is the story of how the Allies defeated the Axis, oops. From all of us here at 125, best Birthday wishes to both Jane and Kristy.

Jared is cool because he knows how to operate a camera better than a Japanese tourist.
