125 Columbia: Not over Till it's Over

Usually I write with such cold dispassion but that last one really came from the deep recesses of the heart. I wish there was a turn-off switch, but it’s tough… all the moreso when it’s final exams and you’re assiduously poring through the pages and you see her scribbles and doodles randomly dotting your notes and your mind harkens back to all the effortless back-and-forth exchanged during Prof Johnny Li’s survival lectures and there's a part of you that wonders if you'll meet someone quite like that again.

Only 13 days until I’m done for good! I wish there was something eloquent I could say about my time here, how I have some good memories, met some great people, and how I’ve learned and grown so much from the achievements and even more from the setbacks… but I am strangely at a loss for words. I think it takes about 18 months for nostalgia to really set in, and I think that’s about when I’ll really start to miss this place (as hard as it may be to fathom now). This blog has chronicled some of those times, encapsulating within it many thoughts and recollections of campus life in all its glory, and reading some old posts will certainly allow us all to fondly look back and relive the old days and laugh aloud at how naïve I/we sounded.

Actually, I’m probably not the only one laughing. Lately there’s been a spate of hardcore readers checking out the blog. Many of these people are return visitors, so we have a devoted fanbase of creepers that check the blog and never comment!
