Campbell's Scoop: Connections

Hello all,

Its really funny how advanced this little tool called the search engine, and the internet as a whole, has become in the past few years.

Something REALLY cool happened the other day. When I was living in South Africa, in grade 4, I became friends with this really cool guy called Clifford. He was pretty much my best friend for 2 years before my family relocated to another city in South Africa. I remember very clearly that it was Clifford who introduced me to "The Adventures of Robin Hood", "Asterisk and Obelisk", and of course the legendary "King Authur" and his knights. We would pretend we were the knights or that we were Robin Hood's followers fighting the evil Prince John. Ahh yes...those were the days. But that was over ten years ago and I havn't been in contact with him since, not until two days ago that is.

So it was a pretty boring day, and me just sitting on my computer typing random names into Google and hoping to get some results that might make sense to me. I typed in people knew/know from high school, university, past co-workers, my first crush (weird, she was from grade 4 too). Typed in this dude I used to idol in grade 8 becuase he had a guitar (he introduced me to Nirvana)and finally I typed in Clifford's name. At first nothing really came up but then I remembered his last name and his father's first name and occupation.
So in went "peter sammons +south africa +pastor" and voila! Results!. I e-mailed Mr Sammons and promptly got a reply that yes, I had found Clifford. haha.

Anyway to cut it short we are in contact again and I have invited him to check out this blog to have a look around. Isn't it just amazing though? Respect to those CS majors in the house, see you guys in a couple of days.

Brock
