Campbell's Scoop: Anglican Pelican

So I saw my first racist in UWaterloo yesterday and in a library at Renison College of all places. The racist remarks weren't directed at me but other minority groups. This guy exclaimed his disgust for every minority out there except asians-probably because one was sitting a mere two metres from him. What really struck me was the total disregard or even care-free manner that he was talking in. The guy was openly telling this other girl how he is careful when dealing with black people and asked how far "we" should be willing to take it. I really couldn't believe my ears at first but I listened further and realized that even in a highclass academic institution like Uwaterloo, ignorance exists. But I guess i'm glad that saw it happen before I left. It certainly leaves a black mark for me.
