So a week back I thought it'd be a good idea to put up my Vancouver post on SkyscraperCity, a forum dedicated to discussing city issues, to guage people's thoughts. Big mistake.

Mace, check your pm box.

"Mace" is a duplicate profile of a member from Philadelphia. Multiple profiles on SSC are not allowed.

So I log in and see there are two private messages from one of the moderators of the forum.

Multiple profiles are, as we all know, a bannable offence.

Well, seeing as you have not responded to my first pm, I think it is time that it is pointed out to you that the profile Mace has been created with the sole purpose of entering Canadian profiles, and negatively stereotyping Canadian cities. This is known as "Trolling". The fact you are RandySavage as well contravenes the rules of SSC forums about multiple profiles. I won't bother banning Mace at the moment, but if you feel the need to enter the Canadian forums with more of your hackneyed cliches that you may have formed while visiting our cities, you will find the profile has disappeared. And, the "RandySavage one, as well.

I don't believe this. Again with the Randy Savage. And hackneyed cliches? Stereotyping Canadian cities? Trolling? So not only does this guy accuse me of assuming a second identity I have absolutely no affiliation with, he has the temerity to tar me with baseless libelous ludicrous unfounded (channeling Jackie Chiles here) accusations. And this clown is threatening to ban me now? Over a tongue-in-cheek post on my observations of Vancouver?!?!

This isn't the first time I've had a run-in with the Orwellian authorities on this forum. I got a PM from the same clown last summer when I put up the Sydney post (even edited out the non-PC parts!). The thread was locked and deleted and I was threatened with a reprimand by the same guy:

For writing about Sydney. From a Torontonian's perspective in a Toronto forum. People aren't entitled to their opinions?! Forums are venues for discussion and debate, not echo chambers. Fortunately the Aussies were more chill about it.

This guy seriously needs to get off my ass and remove that stick up his. All this does is reinforce people's prejudices of Toronto as a city populated by anal-retentive tightwads who are terribly insecure with the status of their city.
